One of the sanctuary cities would not detain an illegal that raped a 5-year-old girl. ICE did catch the male homosapien (I find it difficult to call him a man). Why a sanctuary city would not detain this individual for ICE? I have no words for this in mixed company or the appropriate punishment. (my opinion)
Yes, ICE made numerous arrests over the last three days. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) conducted a large-scale nationwide operation that resulted in over 460 arrests of illegal immigrants across the United States. These arrests took place during a 33-hour period from Tuesday to Wednesday, January 21-22, 2025.
The arrests targeted individuals with criminal histories, including:
- Sexual assault
- Robbery
- Drug and weapons offenses
- Domestic violence
- Aggravated assault
- Driving while intoxicated
Some notable arrests include:
1. Jesus Perez, a Mexican national charged with aggravated sexual abuse of a child, was arrested in Salt Lake City.
2. Jose Roberto Rodriguez-Urbina, a 22-year-old citizen of El Salvador and alleged MS-13 gang member, was arrested in New York City.
3. Franklin Osorto-Cruz, a Honduran national convicted of driving while intoxicated, was arrested in New York.
ICE also issued over 420 detainer requests to local jails, asking them to hold individuals for potential deportation proceedings. The operation involved arrests of nationals from various countries, including Afghanistan, Angola, Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Senegal, and Venezuela.
This enforcement action marks the beginning of the Trump administration's promised mass deportation efforts, focusing primarily on public safety threats but not exclusively limited to them.
