I find it intolerable that America had political prisoners. I find it inconceivable that anyone, especially anyone who served, doesn't understand that they were political prisoners. I watched raw feed from the Capitol on that date, not edited propaganda. I watched protestors assaulted by police on numerous occasions during the peaceful protest including cops hurling concussive grenades into crowds and firing teargas into crowds with any provocation. I watched demonstrators form defensive lines around poorly prepared police officers, their backs to the officers and holding other demonstrators at bay. I saw organized demonstrators rescue a police officer who was separated from his comrades and lead him back to them. I saw a DC police detective murder a woman who slugged a demonstrator who was breaking windows and inciting others to trespass into the Capitol. I did not see any report of any police officer dying during the incidents of Jan 6. I did see one report of a woman murdered by violent police officers and then moved to a public area where photojournalists could record attempts by EMTs to revive her after she was dead. I also saw video of Nancy Pelosi acknowledging that she had refused President Trump's offer of deployment of troops to secure the Capitol. No. I am not disturbed. I am disgusted. I am even more disgusted that we are now learning how these political prisoners were abused during their incarceration.

LTC Kevin B. - I report what I saw and you dismiss it with an opinion. Well, we all know all about opinions, don't we...

CPT Jack Durish - Those criminals were legitimately convicted. Most pleaded guilty and admitted full responsibility for their crimes. Many others were tried and convicted by juries of their peers. Call it whatever suits your preferred political narrative, but the reality is that they are all convicts. Facts matter, and that's not opinion.

LTC Kevin B. - There were those who committed criminal acts and were convicted. However, the vast majority were not. Sadly, President Trump didn't have time to separate the wheat from the chaff. Also, most of those convicted, had already served most of their time and the political prisoners served countless time for merely being pawns in the game being played by the progressive Left now dominating the leadership of the Democratic Party. Now you may have been duped by their propaganda, I wasn't...

"didn't have time" = B.S.
"political prisoners" = empty rhetoric and evidence that you are duped by revisionist propaganda.

I find it odd and disturbing that some people are celebrating the release of the Jan 6th convicts, simply because their political beliefs align. So much for the "law and order" party.

Sgt (Join to see) - When did Biden pardon criminals who violently attacked police officers?

LTC Kevin B. - My assumption is because you are quick to blame and criticize one side while making no comment on the other side for performing the same act, or even worse. Here is a list of the fine upstanding citizens that Biden commuted/pardoned. https://www.justice.gov/pardon/pardons-granted-president-joseph-biden-2021-present#19-Jan-2025-pardon
