But one day in the sticks at Bragg, I found a Ranger cap minding it's own buiness, so I adopted it for safe keeping.

I never thought of Fort Bragg in that way, to me and many others, Fort Bragg was the "Home of the Airborne, America's Hornor Guard", and the Green Bennie SF.

SGT Carl Blas - I understand that the name may not have had that meaning to you, but it was still named in honor of someone who took up arms against the US in defense of slavery. I see no reason to go back to honoring someone like that.
