Airman dead after shooting at Kirtland Air Force Base

Attempting to escape an “attempted detention.”

Biggest questions I have are:

Was this due to him having a firearm, trying to get it on base and was searched?
Was he a Security Forces Airmen or just assigned to the unit?
Was the weapon a Service Weapon or personally owned?

So many other questions.
