My comment, "Eugene Allen Hackman He served four and a half years as a Marine field-radio operator. Hackman was stationed in China (Qingdao and later in Shanghai). When the Communist Revolution conquered the mainland in 1949, he was assigned to Hawaii and Japan. Hackman was an author, actor, humanitarian, and dog lover. He was found dead along with his wife, and dog at his home.
He was one of my favorite actors, and he'll be missed."

Gene Hackman was definitely a Warrior first, an Actor second to none, and a Marine to the core. He will be missed greatly.
