For those that want a bit more insight into what will and won't happen if Congress doesn't do what is necessary* by midnight on March 14th, I find the write-ups from the Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget to be non-partisan and factually presented with source information noted (if you want to research further).

* 12 different areas of the Federal Government need to be addressed with appropriations (not really likely to happen before the deadline) or another continuing resolution bill (likely as it is a favorite past-time of Congress to 'kick the can down the road' so they can move onto slinging mud at each other).
