I guess I look at it from another view: Wow, you have to threaten Politicians to ALLOW Law Enforcement to enforce Laws? What a concept!
Immigration laws are not new. Congress passed them decades ago and refuse to update them. That way, they can blame everyone but themselves for violating the laws that they passed but do not want enforced.
