PO1 Theresa Aldrich - How about you read it and note the conjecture...
From your article...
"Sources told CBS News on Wednesday that no device the senior envoy brought with him to Russia had Signal on it."
"Speaking Wednesday during a briefing at the White House, press secretary Karoline Leavitt said Witkoff did not have his personal device or his government-issued phone with him in Moscow. She said he was given access to a "classified protected server by the United States government, and he was very careful about his communications when he was in Russia.""
"Witkoff, in his own social media post Wednesday, said he "had no access to my personal devices until I returned from my trip.""
"I only had with me a secure phone provided by the government for special circumstances when you travel to regions where you do not want your devices compromised," Witkoff said.""
I'll also note that the article stated Russia is trying to find ways to breach Signal, but there are still no reported/confirmed examples of this. This isn't in any way to claim Signal is secure for classified or operational conversations or that this group chat was appropriate, but how about we actually look at facts vs conjecture.

Maj Kevin "Mac" McLaughlin to be fair, the same people telling us this are the same people who told us the whole story was fake, and then told us that there was nothing classified in the chat, so some are now less inclined to just take them at their word at this point in the story

Maj Kevin "Mac" McLaughlin I find their changing stories hurt their credibility. I can not simply take their word for it. We will not agree you can say there’s no proof he had his phone and I could there’s no proof he didn’t. Facts? In this administration? Please

So, you agree, conjecture on your part, not facts. Knowing the process in which our DVs travel, especially in locations like China and Russia, it is far more believable that he carried no personal devices, and that he only used secure devices throughout the trip. This article is nothing more than bad speculation meant to gas light a bad mistake on the NSC's part.
