COL (Join to see) in 1983 when I apply for a position in my department, which I got because they didn’t want the other alternative, which was my boss in my other job because they thought the guy that was my boss would ruin their little boys club
The director at that time was for the little boys club he was being a puppet in the hands of these five boys
These five boys were not boys
And they could get away with anything they wanted
My ex boss supported me and tried everything he could to get me to stay with this little boys club
Too bad my ex boss smoked too much and was under a lot of stress
On my first day of call, he was the person that was on my table having a heart attack and he died and it was very devastating

COL (Join to see) I resigned from that job three times but cried all night thinking what am I gonna do?
Good thing, my resignation was not accepted
My father did everything in his power to get me to stay in that position and give the boys hell but it was hard five against one

COL (Join to see) The five boys that were in the good graces of the director got their way all the time I put my vacation in and was told by the director I couldn’t do that because he was in favor of the little boys club so I had to do it their way
Since I was a little man on the totem pole, I had to see when their vacation was before I could put in mine
They really got mad at me when I put in my two weeks USAR summer camp and my two weeks vacation from work
Boy, did I piss them off

COL (Join to see) I retired in 2012 and the little boys group had dispersed either passed away or retired
But I ran into some nurses that I worked with who wouldn’t talk to me about why she hated me so I retired. I had enough.

When I was in college in the 60s I worked at Pratt & Whitney Aircraft in the summers. During my first year there my trainer was a lady who came in as a "Rosie the Riveter" during WWII. Her skill and ability to train others was phenomenal so I've always had a hard time understanding how people would believe they wouldn't be able to do the jobs.

Probably the only way we will soon be able to get an accurate portrayal of minority contributions to WWII, or any military activity for that matter.
