US Army soldier found dead in Honduras

There are certainly some questions I have about this. Having been to that country twice, I know for a fact that personnel are NOT authorized to leave base without a Battle Buddy while on Pass. The curfew, when not on Leave nor an Overnight Pass is 2200 every damn day. You are NOT authorized to arrived back WITHOUT your designated Battle Buddy. Nor are you authorized to travel to/from base without using a vetted/approved cab driver (unless it's an MWR bus). His body was found on the banks of the river. My RFIs are:

1) Where was his Battle Buddy?
2) Was the LT in an area designated RED/Off Limits?
3) If the Battle Buddy returned to base without the LT, did they or did they not report the absence of the LT?

There are way more questions that I have and I am sure that the JTF-B Commander has. I can almost predict with certainty that all passes will be suspended UFN and only for official missions will folks be allowed to travel off base.
