As a former prime power plant operator for the USAF, it grieves me to see a power plant die-they very much have a "soul" to them-quirks, oddities, what-have-you. So, if this can keep one alive, I guess it is a good thing-so long as it is affordable for those it is supposed to be helping. I could imagine several technical hurdles had to be cleared to do this, and advancing that technology can possibly lead to other advances in the power industry.

Although, this is very similar to what some in the diesel industry did years ago, injecting natural gas into the engine to allow for cleaner emissions.
