Kinda lame. It's not really a combat patch, then, more of a "so you're saying there's a chance of getting attacked?" patch.

MAJ Byron Oyler - Funny thing is, in the months after the fall of Baghdad, my unit got passed around like the village bicycle, so I'm technically eligible to wear four different combat patches just from that deployment. Not that I would ever wear any but the broken television...
/edit/ Even funnier, a buddy of mine who was the S6 refused to wear any combat patch but COSCOM (the leaning shithouse) because he knew it irritated the commander.

MSG (Join to see) - Since when? Used to be, you had to get special pay plus the combat zone tax exclusion, and for 30 consecutive days, to qualify.
