Certainly an inspiration - oldest or not, and an inspiring article about him. Sikhs are known to be spiritual warriors. Good people, in my experience.
My M.D. while at university in Washington state in the early 90s was a Sikh. His wife was the nurse. There wasn't much diversity of any type in the town, and I was among the diverse, so we all knew one another. They lead a very healthy life style. Was invited to their place for a BBQ and had fun playing basketball with their kids - two teens, a girl and boy! (Sikh is a relative educated guess - given Singh is almost exclusively a Sikh name, plus he is from Punjab.)
