We need veterans to pursue those opportunities. Go for it! Please.
It is actually rewarding to get involved at the local level of community - at least.
Here in ABQ that is the Neighborhood Association level.
The NA are required to provide input about all type of issues - zoning, traffic patterns, noise issues . . . name it and the NA handles it, or takes it higher where it needs to go. It is near impossible to get any problems solved in a neighborhood without going through the NA.
