We are transiting through what has been named "the Radcliffe wave".
The "dust clouds" we see at a distance in JWST photos (also referred to as stellar nurseries)? We are in one. The "dust" contains debris of all sizes from quantum particles to galaxies. It can raise unpredictable electromagnetic and gravitational havoc. And "stuff" from outside our solar system travels through it. It interacts with the The Heliospheric Current Sheet often with surprising and/or unforeseen results. The transit takes millions of years.
