Schur was jolted awake by his car alarm shortly before 11 p.m. on July 5, 2023, and saw his Hyundai Elantra being tampered with outside his Aurora home.
Instead of calling police, he grabbed a pistol, jumped into his car, and began circling the neighborhood.
Moments later, he spotted the teens driving away in another vehicle and gave chase. Schur opened fire, firing 11 rounds into the rear of the car and continuing to shoot as the boys fled on foot.

The military is not immune from morons and idiots. And the ain't just in the E1 to E 3 range, there are O's that fit in this category too.

That is nuts. Can't believe he would do all of that over a car. Just call the police and let them deal with it. Shooting unarmed kids over a car isn't the answer. They shouldn't be stealing cars and it doesn't excuse their poor life choices but it also doesn't give this moron a blank check to drive around hunting bad guys like a comic book. It's a poorly written article too. It threw me off when it said it was a Space Force cadet but turned out to be a 29 year old Sergeant.

SGM Jeff Mccloud - Exactly. You can't really claim stand your ground or self defense when you are circling the block in your car and you shoot them in their back.
