APOD: 2026 January 31 - Artemis I: Flight Day 13

Good morning, Rallypoint, and welcome to the January 31, 2026 edition of Astronomy Picture of the Day (APOD).
This image from Artemis 1 in 2022 highlights the upcoming launch of Artemis 2 in February. The initial mission calendar had planned the "wet dress rehearsal" (where NASA would actually fuel the SLS to assess its readiness for launch) for this weekend, but sub-freezing weather in Florida delayed this activity until Monday (February 3rd).
That leaves three remaining dates in February where the launch window is open: February 8th, 10th, and 11th. If Artemis II is not ready by that point (or if a problem is encountered), we may not see a launch until March or April.
Either way...I'm looking forward to it.
