This isn't the first time we have heard a story like this, when Vets with service animals are denied entry onto airlines and other places like restaurants and so forth. It makes me more anxious going out with my dog so I tend to stay home more. But I can say that all my contacts with people while I'm out with her have been positive, I just think that there should be more awareness about where and why these animals are so important for us to function when outside the house.

It's unfortunate that airlines have to be sued for them to realize what they need to do to accommodate service animals on planes.

TSgt William Meyer, don't let this sort of crap stop you from going out and enjoying life with your service dog. That only allows the idiots to win more. I hope this veteran wins her case. It's one thing not to have the animal's paperwork squared away or not to have their service vest on but if you have all that together, then there is no reason why you should ever be turned away.

I hope she wins. I had to threaten Holiday Inn Express. Took a lot of phone calls, I finally spoke with the manager and they let me have my service dog and gave me a bunch of reward points.
