I am all about Marines. It just says a disturbing portion. One is too many but we don't need to label the entire Marine Corps as having a Child Molestation problem. "Nearly 18% of cases involved sexual assault or abuse of a child, attempted sexual assault or abuse or a child, or the possession, solicitation, distribution or production of child pornography." How many of these are sexual abuse and how many are physical/emotional/mental abuse? This is like the Marine site that distributed naked photos of other female Marines. Only a handful of active duty and a lot of retired and separated Marines...let's don't throw the baby out with the bathwater. AGAIN...my stance is that one is one too many and it needs to stop but I don't know that it is a systemic problem within the Corps. I may be wrong but I hope I am not. I agree with Cowboy...it is sad and disgusting that there is even an issue.

It could also be that the uptick is due to more focus on going after these types of crimes by commands. Still, a horrific number.

This may sound a bit extreme, but IMHO this would help keep repeat offenders from re-offending.

Castrate them, turn them into eunuchs, even chemical castration.
We as a society have gotten to the point that most everyone wrongs their hands, either afraid to speak up, or hoping someone else will do 'something's.
Old west justice perhaps? But I would volunteer to use the shears to castrate.
