Considering that the CIA analyst whose comments that this article is based upon appears to be (by her Twitter account statements and retweets) a leftist ideologue, I am not really surprised at the conclusion.
It also appears that the author of the article and a number of others also appear to want to not only demean the 2nd Amendment, but to also demean or depreciate the 1st Amendment.

I am an avid 2nd Amendment advocate, hell, for that matter, an avid Constitutionalist. I saw the ad a week or so ago. It drove me to run around the house chanting, brandishing my AR and searching for my anti-libturd uniform!! NOT! I saw no call to arms, why, because most, if not all of the intended target audience has not lost our damned minds, we actually have a few gray matter cells to keep us alive and thinking. We do not take with the radicalism the left is exhibiting on a daily basis, don't live in our parents basement, have jobs, support our families and communities and have not drank the Kool-aid of idiocy. I think the ad should run, on all channels, just to drive the left even further over looney mountain, if that's possible.

Never saw the ad or even heard of it until now. The folks against it are giving it more press and wider coverage by exposing it. They would be better off just ignoring it.
