There are two issues immediately wrong with your assumption, Cayle! The first was that ANYTHING useful could come from the SF Chronicle. The second was that any Kalifornia paper would be pro gun! LOL
There is SO much wrong with this piece.
"I am not a huge fan of gun ownership." coming from a man from Texas, but he has one anyway.
Glock safety? It's your finger dumb ass! Let's move on...
Trump prompted the attack. "Ramos’ dispute with the Capital Gazette began in July 2011 when a columnist wrote about a criminal harassment case against him. He brought a defamation suit against the columnist and the organization’s editor and publisher."
I guess it' just like refugee family separation. Got to be President Trump's fault.

My guess is this is a 100% made up story. If the writer drew his Glock and flipped the safety then he has never drawn a Glock to prepare to fire it. He said he had taken up target shooting as a "hobby" but still thinks there is a safety selector on a Glock. If he fired his Glock once or more he would know there is no selector. My guess is there is no police report or insurance claim to substantiate his rear ending either.
