A hunter lied about poaching deer. A judge found a way to keep him busy next season.

Glad he got caught and shouldn't be repeating his wrong any time soon.

Poachers like this jerk take all the fun out of entering the woods looking for the big one. When in essence this guy and others like him harvest those animals out of season when they feel safe and then brag about their hunting skills to other. I applaud that judge but I would go further saying he has lost his deer hunting privileges for LIFE! If he's caught in the field with anything larger than a BB Gun his sentence is real jail time.

PO1 Tony Holland Good judgement imo,I am an avid bow hunter and have known of a few hunters who use a rifle to take a trophy animal instead of doing their homework and taking it properly.This is akin to one type of stolen valor(when a vet exaggerates his record) there are no accomplishment to the task, only invalid bragging rights.
