I saw this a couple of days ago before the hearing. I was worried the judge would side with the kid and make the parents put up with him for 6 more months.

I just don't see the 30 year old worthless son getting much sympathy in the RallyPoint crowd.
I started telling my kids when they were young that I was responsible for them until they turned 18 and at that point I reserved the right to kick them out. That if they were attending college or vocational training I would support them as best I could, but they would not be allowed to work a part time job and treat my house like a hotel. Even as kids they were expected to do chores around the house. So far two college graduates out of the house, gainfully employed and in their own apartment, one in the US Army, and only one 19 year old left at home attending the local community college. Now I did allow each of the older two too move back home after graduating college until they found a job and apartment. But we are talking graduating college in May and moving out by August.
