Transitioning out of the military can be a scary thing. Doing everything that you can to help prepare yourself prior to going on your transition leave is paramount. Extensive research is necessary. Don't think that you'll walk out of the military, right into a job. I mean, it can happen, but let's not put our bets on the lottery, hey? Plan, prepare, use your resources, write your resume, re-write your resume, have someone look at it, re-write your resume, repeat. I'm not kidding! This is one of the first ways that you can get your foot in the door. You may very well send out hundreds of emails without getting a single reply back... But don't lose hope.
