I grew up during the 60's and my mother would make me read and comment on the newspapers when I was about 8. The headline said VC training mountain guerrillas to attack Americans. I asked my mother how to pronounce that word and she did. I thought to myself how they could they teach gorillas to shoot Americans? Not really funny but that's how an eight year old understood the war.
