I remember that escaping was part f what you were told to do if captured, so how can it make sense to penalize him. Then I remembered ''tis is the military and it all became clear!

Viet Nam POW'S were in some cases charged for flight equipment lost when captured.I witnessed this at Andrews AFB and refused to charge them as NCOIC of Individual Equipment Section.
