For U.S. President Donald Trump, an off-year congressional election on Tuesday in the reliably Republican northern suburbs of Atlanta could spell trouble if Democratic upstart Jon Ossoff pulls off a surprise victory.

Probably go to a run-off with Ossoff in the mix. The "reliably Republican northern suburbs of Atlanta", is a bit of a misnomer. Although Tom Price (R) won by a significant margin, Trump won the district by only one point, so it seems to currently be evenly split. Should be interesting.

I laugh at Democrats. This is the third election the Democrats have dumped wads of cash in to turn Georgia blue. Ran Jimmie Carter's grandson and a Senator's Grand Daughter one year. Last year Georgia was pushed to go blue. Here we are again. It will go to a run off and will be close in the run off but not an indication of a seismic shift in Georgia politics. There have been a lot of liberals moving into the Atlanta area.

Yeaaaah, even if he does win the election in Georgia, he'll be the same Terri Sewell of Alabama, has little impact on anything that happens, or is laughed off stage by most.
And then again he probably has as much luck as say Texas in the electoral colleges voting democrat.
