The sadder thing is that when our fearless leaders sow the seeds of unlawfulness and disorder, we all reap the whirlwind. Allowing or encouraging one ideological group to impose their will on the community encourages others to join the fray. In other words, there is no such thing as "controlled anarchy."
BTW, for context, I offer the following... "The Boogaloo movement, members of which are often referred to as Boogaloo boys, is a loose American far-right extremist movement. Members of the Boogaloo movement say they are preparing for a coming second American Civil War, which they call the "Boogaloo". The term is used by members of the group to refer to violent uprisings against the federal government or left-wing political opponents, often anticipated to follow government confiscation of firearms. The movement consists of anti-government and anti-law enforcement groups, as well as white supremacists who specifically believe the unrest will be a race war. Groups in the Boogaloo movement primarily organize online, but have appeared at in-person events including the 2020 United States anti-lockdown protests and the May 2020 George Floyd protests."

PO1 (Join to see) - Not everyone is driven by ideology. While ANTIFA and BLM are either funded or organized by avowed socialists (Leftists), the vast majority of those advocating, marching, or protesting for them appear to be sincerely dedicated to their espoused causes. Simply put, they are dupes. The looters appear to be simply taking advantage of the confusion as cover. I haven't seen or heard any evidence, or even rumors, of the ideological underpinnings of the Boogaloo movement. They could simply be looking for some "fun times". As ridiculous as that last statement sounds, there are those who are motivated by the adrenaline rush of taking risks.

CPT Jack Durish - I agree with that assessment. I think a lot of boogaloo "recruiting" focuses on what you said, from what I have seen. There are likely members of the movement who don't espouse those ideas, but enjoy the camaraderie. Your last statement would be ridiculous if it sadly wasn't true.

My original point in my response was that CPL Earl Kochis stated that these people must be leftists, because this is a position he disagrees with, or because they are associated with far-right extremism. It isn't an insult to conservatives to call these people far-right, or alt-right. It is what it is. Just as the guy who killed Heather Heyer in Charlottesville was a far-right extremist.

I think we need to take a look at the historical views of right and left and quit comparing these groups to political parties. Their views are not the views of a true democrat or republican. Just like we have Rinos we have Dinos. Those are political. But Antifa is a Communist organization as Boogaloos are an extremist paramilitary wannabe grp with their own ideals. PO1 (Join to see)

So what do you do about it besides whine about terrible nature of others? It's like you have no real agency to take action.
