Does this remind anyone of 1960's/70's? We took the same hill for the third time and sustained xx casualties. We won the battles and lost the war because our politicians did NOT have an "End Game". They did not want to win or lose. They just wanted to test strategies (like how to run a war from thousands of miles away) and devised a new "measurement system" (estimated enemy casualties & land "re-captured").
