If it is a house of worship, shouldn't they have been welcoming everyone from the beginning? I am not a Christian, but I know that much of the teachings of Jesus Christ involve being human to each other. They are not be human to each other, if they are the right race, color or creed. Legislating equality and humanity hasn't worked in government. It won't work in the church. If they really want to make a meaningful change, they are going to have to do so the hard way. They are going to need to teach people the value of diversity, equality, and humanity. Practice diversity, equality and humanity. Live diversity, equality, and humanity. The leadership is going to have to change their way of living to set the example. As I said doing it the hard way. This action is a good start. Maybe they can even set the example for others who praise God on Sunday, and turn into a crazed sociopath Monday morning rush hour.
