Thank you, love doing these Missions, that's why I joined the Seabees, as Disaster Recovery Missions, is our primary operational tasking. The article sates it all you have units and NGO'S and OGA's come together, and bring aid, and comfort to People that are desperate need for help. The thing I love is doesn't matter what branch, or agency you work for it is one team, to rescue, and help people. Haiti is already a desperate, and destroyed nation. I was there in 2008 when four hurricanes destroyed it, with Ike being the final blow. We were doing a CA/HA mission down in south America, and secondary mission was to be on call for Disaster Recovery mission's. Then in 2010 my unit sent a Recovery unit back down after the earthquake.

Thanks SFC Joe S. Davis Jr., MSM, DSL for sharing the news that amphibious assault ship Iwo Jima returned to its home port of Norfolk, near where you live my friend, to offload US Navy and USMC personnel and equipment which was used for relief operations in Haiti after the hurricane.
Kudos to those sailors and Marines!
