I'm sorry...this is indicative of a serious lack of personal discipline. We all have our challenges, but come on! How does a guy like this get promoted to that level in the first place? Is he really THAT outstanding in all other areas? I ask this because I seriously doubt this is a new problem. And by the way, lose the cool-guy shades and don the head gear correctly. The picture makes him look like a character from "King of the Hill,"...hardly inspiring to the younger troops.

With all due respect to the General, I find this quote, "However, I do recognize that military members and leaders, like myself, are held to a higher standard," to be disingenuous. It's not that military leaders are held to a HIGHER standard - he was just held to THE standard.

A lot of people in the Air Force skim by using medical profiles for illegitimate reasons. not even a commanders discretion helps the system, then again he is a general so he would give his own discretion. A lot of top leaders are in this same position and I don't think it's right that they discipline lower ranking members, possibly even discharging them when they don't adhere to standards themselves. It's total hypocrisy.
