Air Force Gets Creative to Tackle Pilot Shortage

I'm glad to see them really start taking a hard look at this. The crisis has hit disastrous level as many pilot are already planning their escape to the civilian side before they are completing flight school. Most are turned away by the fact that they won't be guaranteed to fly much, and will have to do multiple stints as a gopher for O-6s & higher. This causes burnout and keeps pilots from doing what they signed up for - flying birds.
