Absolutley...I agree. I looked at the Reserves about half way thorugh my career but I couldn't make it work for my retirement. It was too difficult to switch over and retain time etc so I just stayed AD. I think if we were able to transfer folks between AD and reserves and back again it would be pretty good for moral and fill critical billets. Now National Guard is a different story because they fall under a different structure and Title.

Yes, Sir! There was a time when I was doing multiple deployments. It was affecting me, my family and my employer. I thought about going AD for a while just to stabilize, and then hopefully after things settled down a bit, go back to Reserve duty. Not easy!
