'Rooster' is a song written by Jerry Cantrell and performed by the alternative rock band Alice in Chains. Cantrell wrote this song about his dad who served in Vietnam. Rooster is the fifth track from the album Dirt and released in the early 90's. Alice in Chains is originally from Seattle, WA.
