So sorry to hear that. I know you miss her, but she is likely looking down on you and her family with perfect memories and pride!

Thanks Donna Brickey for letting us know November 2017 is National Alzheimer’s Month. My mother passed away on September 28, 2001 after being dealing with Alzheimer’s since the late 1970's when I was USMA cadet.
I closed her eyes after I was sure she was dead, then I notified the staff and then left for Fort Belvoir for my pre-mobilization physical.

Wow! That was tough timing for you I am sure. I am thinking she is looking down on you now from Heaven with pride in seeing your dedicated service.

Donna Brickey - I was raised as an atheist and came to Christ just before I was 31. I shared my faith with my father several times before he died in October 1995. I prayed for my mother for years but never had any indication of any understanding which makes sense she had Alzheimer’s.
I had grieved for years before she died and had peace when she died. If I see her in heaven that will be wonderful.
