What the hell is wrong with some people? I mean seriously, just what the hell is wrong with them?

That makes me sad and sick to my stomach. I live in Tampa, and virtually every body of water has a gator in it at sometime. Almost every subdivision built in the last 15 years uses the retention pond method of controlling rain runoff. So every couple of streets has a small pond that the houses back up to that fills up more with the rain. Even in the middle of a subdivision, the alligators find them.

I've opened my door both at home and work to find a gator sitting there. And yes, if a small child or a pet walks near waters edge, especially at dusk or at night, they may be mistaken for food and attacked. But otherwise they just want to be left alone and don't bother anyone. You can walk right by them on a golf course and they won't do anything. They are just sort of part of the FL environment, sort of like the slow moving sand cranes that walk around and stop traffic when they cross roads. So this really saddens me.

LTC (Join to see) I used to work security at one of the gated communities in Boynton Beach. We had gators all the time. I couldn't even get a picture of them because by the time I got close enough to get a good shot, and raised the camera, they were gone into the water. This was a four footer, and most likely would have retreated rather than attacking anyone.

What I have in thought for people like this (and those that abuse children and women) would have the VC cringe. I'd probably violate many Geneva Convention mandates just by thinking them!

If thought bubbles appeared over our heads, I know I'd be screwed!
