I think Cocaine and Heroine should be legalized too. Americans spend billions on those drugs with just go to fund narco gangs and terrorists in the middle east. Let the money go to our farmers, tax the hell out of it and spend the money on rehab instead of enforcement.
Don't get me wrong, I think drugs are terrible, I don't use them and never have, but from a business point of view it makes more sense to legalize it and tax it then to ban it.
I feel the same way about prostitution.

My first response is "Hell no", but to be honest i'm a retired Deputy Sheriff and was a K9 Officer to boot. However i stepped back and read more about it, other than what is posted here, there is some merit to what is said. SSG Hartsfield makes some very valid points and I'm finding myself with a different opinion on the matter.
Edit: My main concern is DUI's would be harder to access in the field and many users may not take driving under the influence of pot as seriously as alcohol, but that is only a theory.

Actually, I would say that technology will come about that will be able to detect how much weed is in your system and police will be trained to spot who is using weed while driving. Also, I have a feeling that penalties for DUIs and DWIs will increase dramatically for those under the influence of weed. Trust me. The technology is there and someone will create it.
