Fate has delivered me into a couple of situations where I became somewhat conversant with computer/network security and its purveyors. I will admit to a certain prejudice against Microsoft in this area inasmuch as they always appeared to treat system security as a layer placed over computers and networks, somewhat like a virtual Maginot Line. Maybe they've changed their approach since I retired, but it is a concern. Ultimately though, the human user is still the weakest link in any computer network (as it has been in any scenario involving secure information throughout history). Everyone handling secure information is vulnerable to some degree to sex, lies, and money

This always happens with big ticket items. Vendors who lose out in early rounds often file protests. I just worry about their ability to make it able to stand against hackers.

I read something in a novel once that I'd rather expropriated many times in many discussions now that you might care to reflect on" "Human technology changes human morality"....
