Yes, some good points, but the title threw me off because it is blatantly misleading. "Everything" includes Medicare, Social Security, the Debt, and the housing bubble, to name a few. But even in the military realm, it's not as simple as the article makes out. For example, the line, "For the past thirty years, China has been expanding its economy and modernizing its military, but still remains far behind matching U.S. power." It would be downright stupid to ignore or underestimate China today, and we ARE using diplomatic and economic means to influence China. Trump has been called an isolationist, yet this article is all about military interventionism being the problem. Trump's rhetoric with respect to NATO's cost sharing is just a rude form of diplomacy, but if it urges NATO members to beef up their own military and helps the US avoid more interventionism, all the better.

Very true, the leaders of countries need to set like the civilized human beings their supposed to be, and try to come to a mutual agreement on things, not have to resort to having the military do it.
