This is one of the reasons why I created Fire Team Whiskey®. It is a privilege to serve and more and more of the younger generation can't serve even if they wanted to because of their lack of health and fitness. Or goal is to get future military recruits on a lifestyle change path to ensure that they will be able to serve their countries proudly and healthily.

Always go back to the root, sir LTC Greg Henning the problem originates with the parents. Without the proper education and healthy habits instilled in them, any offspring of them will adopt similar habits.

Great share, ma'am. You cannot go backwards. All we can do is accept those that are qualified and forge them into what we need. Incentive and motivation must be provided. If the proud privilege to serve your country is less than your need to eat properly and exercise, then it is up to us to change your mind. That warrior ethos must permeate everything that is done. Army looking at creating deployment pay to keep soldiers in shape
To combat the Army's nondeployability problem, the service wants to add deployment pay and cut tuition assistance for non-deployable soldiers.
