“ANNUAL ABORTION STATISTICS
Based on available state-level data, approximately 893,000 abortions took place in the United States in 2016—down from approximately 914,000 abortions in 2015.”
“More than 33,000 people die in firearm-related deaths in the United States every year, according to an annual average compiled from C.D.C. data.”
RIGHT, LET’S WORRY ABOUT GUNS.

Since the 1930's (I believe it traces back to Roosevelt and his three terms) there has been this ongoing paranoia that the Supreme court would be idealogically stacked in one direction or another and it has yet to happen. I don't think it will ever happen. The event of a Supreme Court Nominee before the Senate has become a high stakes drama with near hysterical Senators running around insisting the sky is about to fall, in my view all for political fund raising goals. Nothing much will change if this guy gets appointed and nothing much will change if they appoint someone else in his place.
