I got this as a freebie download in an email...I'd heard the story, though had never seen any specifics, I was able to download it free, it's 45 MB, pretty large...I was pretty amazed it was actually available...if you all wanna read a major tragic amazing story deserving of a major WW2 film in my view, trust me, get this, I think you'll find it quite little known and absolutely incredible....

There were 8 American POW's. Following the atomic explosion, they were taken outside and beheaded. This is documented in a few atomic histories. Best one is "Torch To The Enemy" which covers the firebombing raids leading up to the atomic bombing raids.
