I have carried the M9, reliable and accurate, but it is still not my preferred side arm. My 1911 is still king of my arsenal and probably always will be. Simple, easily maintained and effective. Just because something is new, shiny and full of gadgets, does not make it better, nor anymore lethal.

That's a fact, I like my 1863 New Army Colt. It may be a black powder weapon, but when it talks you better listen.

Absolutely! I have a .44 and a .36 black powder pistols. I have never had either misfire and are damned accurate!

Beretta grip to big for people with small hands. Early M9's had slides breaking so a modification was done to keep slide from coming off the rear of the frame. Locking blocks cracked completely locking up the pistol. ( happened to me once during an Army combat pistol match). Most police departments went to Digs, S&W, or Glock. All that said I hated when we went from M1911A1 to the M9.

Yeah but if you were a Beretta executive wouldn't you want to stay on top just a little longer (at least until you could cash in your stock and retire)

No argument there! Another big contract and a bump in the stock options would have been great for those execs.
