If that had been what he said it would have been honeat. But that is not what he he said that count not find a country were we did well. And that is I either a stunning display of ignorance for a normal. P erson, much less a POTUS or a lie. Why do feel the need to subrute what he should have said for whay he said?

Do you believe there is any chance he was utilizing hyperbole to drive home a point?

PFC Jim Wheeler - two thinks Hi yperbole is exageration, tht was not exaggeration it was simply a lie, hte folks he lies about know it is a lie soe does anyone else that is literate in any language used on the network. and to most the idea that a national leader would do that is beyond the pale, of course there are leaders that talk that way, Kim in K North Korea, and Mugabe but they are few and far between
2,. Presidents of the US should not be playing political games using the tactics of a WWE spokes-dummy on the worlds stage. The rest of the world looks at reality and knows he has not got a clue, or even an idea where a clue can be found.

1stSgt Nelson Kerr - Hyperbole are exaggerated statements or claims that are not meant to be taken literally.
That's the actual definition.
You are taking his claim literally, which, if it is hyperbole, is not how the claim should be read. Based on the actual statement he made, and the context of the statement, I think it is much more likely to be hyperbole than any of the explanations you are offering.

I would add one item, and that is our defense spending subsidizes several of the countries on the list and their state sponsored welfare programs. So, looking in terms of selling product X and purchasing product Y Mr. Trump has an issue. Also, when did Hong Kong become a country? I thought it was a British entity and then that expired and was given back to the Chinese and there is a trade gap with them.

HK is economically a country and political floats in between be a country and a province they , we and China both still, for economics, consider them a separate entity.
