We gave so much to learn about CHina. We think that RU is the threat. China loves it when we look away from them. This white paper developed by a New Zealand China Specialist is comprehensive, and incisive on the Plans and Strategies of the Chinese Communist Party to among other goals create a China-centered political, digital, and economic order. I would recommend you take the time to review it, and perhaps measure what she assesses as the CCP approach in NZ, and Australia, to be happening to many of our Allies, as well as our US political, corporate, academic, and social institutions.

The threat is bigger, but RU is 1/3 population of USA. Sadly, US is 1/3 the size of CH. (There are more English speakers in CH than USA... China has 500 million ENG speakers half their population. US Population is 335 million

I agree that the Chinese are a bigger threat in many ways, economically they have tried to wreck certain portions of our industrial capability by subsidizing their industries to the point it was impossible to compete with them, they buy U.S. bonds giving them leverage over the U.S. they hack and steal industrial and military secrets. The list goes on and on, Russia in general is a paper tiger trying to get back to the glory days of the U.S.S.R. and strategically only picks fights that are easy to win like Georgia in 2008 and the Ukraine recently. They are a pain in the ass but not sure how well they would hold up in a real fight. Plus economically Russia would be easier to tumble.
