True. But it must be dealt with. Too much is at stake. If only we were more concerned with justice than with appearances and procedures that have nothing to do with 9/11. Already the detainees enjoy many more privilege's than if they had just been treated according to Geneva and the Law of War from the beginning. Trials would have been over years ago. Instead, the Military Commissions Act of 2009 (Obama) gave unlawful combatant Islamists who want to kill us who are accused of war crimes virtually the SAME rights you or I would enjoy in a federal court of law. Absurd. And now we are experiencing the consequences of this ideological nightmare. Follow the original rules on unlawful combatants accused of war crimes by giving the accused ONLY the SAME rights a US soldier would enjoy in a similar circumstance: UCMJ.

I understand what you are saying but most of these judges are also up for promotion. They need to find one who is an iron 0-5 or 0-6 (not expecting promotion) to do it
