Actually "they" (the big government totalitarians) usually kill the political opposition and the "intellectuals" first. Comedians usually shut up pretty quickly and poets go underground. Poets and comedians are not much of a threat to totalitarian regimes, neither are food critics.

Bourdain is a food critic and while I have watched his show a number or times why would anyone (especially a journalist) think he has some sort of political wisdom to give to the world? Oh, I know why, the journalist knew Bourdain would agree with him on Trump.

I think comedians whield a lot of power. Think of some of the sketches on SNL. I think everyone has an opinion, just like assholes. Bourdain is incredibly well travelled and has been exposed to opinions outside our political boundaries. But if they are going to kill intellectuals first, we better dumb down.

Maj Kim Patterson I liked it. He said what he felt. You could tell that he had given thought into his opinions and I respect it. It was not the same left wing dribble that gets parroted over and over. I would have loved to see what he thought about Clinton.

SGT William Howell I'll see if I can find anything. He must have made some comments at one time or another.

SGT William Howell from rare.us: "On Clinton, Bourdain said, “Honestly, that’s not the business I’m in.” Bourdain explained that he did not actively seek out politicos to come on as guests. He said that his dinner with the president was something that “kind of fell in [the show’s] lap,” maintaining that he did not even reach out to the White House".

I did like the interview he did on Donald Trump, and how he wants to take him to lunch, and make him eat tartare de bouf. (Trump eats his steaks well done).

SrA Edward Vong I just picked up steaks for Christmas dinner. I had them hand cut at 2" thick. They are going to so good. I will loose my mind if someone ask for a well done steak.
