Every president benefits as long as the economy is doing well. Still trying to figure out what policies Trump ever implemented that actually impacted today's economy. We saw what his threat of tariffs against everyone did. Then we saw what happened when he started exempting everyone after they countered with their own policies. We've seen business owners, share holders, real estate moguls, and certain industries continue to benefit; that's about it.

I have always argued that a sitting President cannot change the economy that fast or even during their time in office. Anti-Trumps would agree this economy comes from Obama's changes, yet those same folks would argue against that the economy nose dive during Bush was Clinton's fault, and that Obama's success was Bush. Cannot have it both way, either Obama fixed Bush's mess and Trump has been this successful or Bush's crash was Clinton.

MAJ Byron Oyler - If you look at the economic policies implemented in 2009-2010 and consider the reversal of the economic downward trend from 2011 and so on; one can argue Obama's policies contributed to the turnaround. Bush early economic policies in first term benefited growth but the wars countered that growth. His later economic policies in second term contributed to the market crash in 07-08.
As for Trump, describe one economic policy in 2017 that influences anything other than the stock market? The Tax Bill was Dec 2017 so we have to wait to see how it influences economic growth in the form of jobs and wages.

I think he's benefiting from a few other things too, like the 24/7 hyperventilating in the leftist media about Stormy Daniels, the 24/7/365 hyperventilating about Russia, and the spectacle of grown adults acting like children are wise.
