I have been saying this for years, you never truly own an Apple device. You are just paying them for the privilege of using it. It has been shown time and again, but people just don't see it. First it was banning apps they feel are offensive (Oh you have men and women in swimsuits... NO APP STORE FOR YOU!). Then it was, and still is, an app approval process that is so nebulous that no one really knows the rules. Now this craziness.

Another reason to not own an Apple product! As someone below said, GoPro, Kodak and Nikon would love it, not to mention that Samsung and other smartphone makers would love to see this happen as well. Whole Apple philosophy is to totally control and profit from products it sells. Technology to do this isn't that complicated and with all the Apple devices out there combined with concert promoters desire to stop piracy there are big bucks to be made by Apple. Don't see android manufacturers jumping on this bandwagon since they don't have the total control of everything philosophy that dominates Apple.

SGT (Join to see) - I had heard that, but I never could find the "proof". Could you post a link about that?
